The NOTAE System is a comprehensive document management system designed to streamline the creation, editing, and validation processes. It represents one of the main research outputs of the ERC project NOTAE. Our main work consists, in fact, in carrying out a thorough inspection of the documents and a census of graphic symbols, and all the data collected (including the images of the graphic symbols) are processed in the System, which has been exclusively designed by the IT scientists who are members of the project team.
The NOTAE system is hosted on the Cloud managed by the Consortium GARR – the Italian Research and Education Network that provides an ultra-fast connectivity for data and knowledge sharing – thanks to a cooperation with the LAD (“Laboratorio di Archeologia Digitale”) directed by Julian Bogdani, professor for ‘Methodologies of the Archeological Research’ at the Department SARAS of Sapienza University of Rome, which is the Beneficiary of the ERC project NOTAE.
From 8 July 2024 the NOTAE System is accessible on this Url.
